The monograph is devoted to the study of mechanisms for financing and stimulating the innovative renewal of Ukraine’s economy. It examines the theoretical foundations, key challenges and prevailing trends of innovative economic development under conditions of globalisation and digitalisation, as well as traditional and innovative sources and mechanisms for financing innovation projects in Ukraine. For the period from 2000 to 2024, an analysis of the dynamics and structure of innovation-active enterprises was conducted, along with an assessment of the main indicators of their innovative activity and innovation-related expenditures. A comparative analysis of the dynamics of R&D expenditures in Ukraine and in developed countries was also carried out. The study further analyses the structural dynamics of financing innovation activity of Ukrainian enterprises by sources and financial instruments, as well as the structure and dynamics of debt financing of innovation activity, including bank lending, corporate bonds and leasing. The possibilities, challenges, advantages and risks associated with the use of innovative financial mechanisms for financing innovative business projects are examined, in particular crowdfunding, crowdlending and crowdinvesting, venture capital and blockchain technologies. It is substantiated that the application of digital technologies in business processes acts as a catalyst for innovative development and integration into global value chains. A positive correlation between the level of digital development of enterprises and their participation in global value chains is identified. Directions for the use of digital mechanisms to stimulate the innovative development of Ukraine’s economy are proposedt.
